WHO IS SEVEN OH FIVE?

Seven Oh Five is a fantastic, award-winning and innovative production company, based in Southern California, consisting of three members - Roman Cortez, Chito Arellano and Tracy Tubera. They’ve been friends since childhood and have been collectively creating short films over the past eight years. They’ve written, directed, produced and starred in over 30 short films that currently can be seen throughout the internet, especially at their own personal site www.sevenohfive.com (where's you're currently at).

Their movies have screened at numerous film festivals across the country and have a web presence that boasts over 50,000 viewers a month and still growing. Their fan base spans the globe from California to Germany, Canada to Australia, their comedic sensibilities know no borders.

What makes Seven Oh Five unique is the fact they are masters of making low-budget digital filmmaking look as if they’ve had thousand dollar-budgets, when in actuality, they’ve spent only a few hundred. To date, the crew has created over 30 short films, all without going over the budget of $500.
Their core fan base ranges from 10-35 year old males (and probably some females). “Comic book dorks, video game nerds, and over-weight teenagers with A.D.D. are our bread and butter,” the crew will gladly and proudly boast. Although, they are highly popular with today’s internet youth, the older generation still finds them hilarious because of their rare and obscure “pop-culture” references that can be seen and noticed throughout their movies.
With their uncanny comedy, unique style, and combined triple-team talent, the Seven Oh Five crew is surely bound for greatness and success.

ROMAN CORTEZ - The Brains
The eldest of the group, Roman does everything far and inbetween for Seven Oh Five. His credits range from writer, director, producer, actor, composer, editor, web artist, or group organizer, Roman makes sure the crew stays on track and gets the job done. Being a self-taught director he stays true to his his mottos of “do it yourself” and “never quit.” Roman stays on top of current technological trends and is determined to push the envelope of digital underground independent filmmaking. It’s inspiring guys like this that keep the independent spirit alive.

CHITO ARELLANO - Man of Many Faces
With his quick wit, and wacky charm, Chito lights up the screen with his many talents. As well as being a writer, director, editor, and visual effects guru, he also creates and performs a wide range of voices and impersonations. From different accents, to original creations, Chito always has something new up his sleeve. Besides being a truly hilarious guy, his artistic styles are uncanny. His cleverness and problem solving skills always come in need when big budget effects need to be done on the cheap. Being a perfectionist, Chito’s skills are always undeniable.

TRACY TUBERA - Uber-Illustrator
The self-proclaimed “Teen Heart Throb” of the group, the high-energy and never-quiet Tracy has a wide range of talents. Although, all three members of Seven Oh Five boast creative and illustrative backgrounds, Tracy’s the one with the art degree to back it up. From writing, directing, and acting, Tracy’s also the groups’ main illustrator/storyboard artist. He’s created movie posters, dvd covers, and t-shirts for majority of the groups’ short films. He pushes his creative endeavors and artistic talents to new levels while he remains true to his saying, “Can’t stop the hustle.”
